LIAISON

Purpose: A key part of NEST’s mission is to engage with allied organizations and support advocacy campaigns relevant to our work in environmental and social justice. NEST is an official member of both the Planetary Health Alliance and the Toronto Climate Action Network.  We have been invited to be more actively engaged with others, including Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, and Health Providers Against Poverty.

Our contributions are made more meaningful with active engagement. This requires human resources!  If you are interested in attending regular meetings on behalf of NEST, and facilitating the contribution of the naturopathic profession, we want you!  No experience necessary - we will support you.

Responsibilities:

• Attending regular meetings with allied organization on behalf of NEST.

• Communicating updates with other NEST members as appropriate.

• Posting calls to action on NEST social media channels to amplify the work of that organization and allies. 

• Participate in organizing campaigns as per personal capacity, or recruiting other members of the profession to do so.

Time Commitment: Most organizations have meetings 1-2 hours monthly.  We would suggest minimum 1 additional hour monthly to communicate back to NEST and maintain social media. Individual projects may require more time, as per individual capacity.
